Cover Story : The Lion Rules the night

Our Nation, Singapore is all set for the fourth installement of the Formula 1 (F1) Grand Prix. Since the inaugural race in 2008, interest in the event has grown bigger and bigger not mentioning the glamour.

The idea of having a night street race was truly an awesome and innovative solution. The authorities could shut the required roads for couple of days, put up temporary grandstands, erect barriers and re-surface the tarmac, innovative lightings and voila!!!! The road circuit is here. Excellent planning and co-ordination.

Another great news is, Racing at night in Asia would enable viewers in Europe to tune in around lunch time – prime time viewing for sports crazy fans in London, Madrid or Munich…

Guys and girls.. Do invest in a good quality earplug.. the ear-splitting roar of the F1 engines gonna be noisy!!!

5.073KM street circuit – 22 Teams - 23 turns – Anti-Clockwise Direction – 110,000 spectators.. Let’s get it Started!!!!
